Frequently asked questions
How do you keep these comparisons honest?
Every page carries a 'facts last reviewed' date, prices are checked against each product's public pricing page, and moniya's own gaps — no bank sync, no investment dashboards — are stated on every comparison. Each page also says who should stick with the other app.
Is moniya really free?
Yes — the ledger, budgets, saving goals, recurring bills, reports, net worth, and CSV export are free forever, and every month includes 50 AI captures (receipt scans or voice memos). Pro removes the AI ceiling with unlimited captures and AI insights on your reports.
Why doesn't moniya sync with banks?
By design. Instead of a bank feed, moniya drafts transactions from receipt scans and voice memos — which works in any country with any bank, and means nothing posts without your approval. Apps built on aggregators only work where the aggregator does.
Which comparison should I read first?
If Mint's shutdown stranded you, start with the Mint page. If subscription price is your issue, read YNAB or Monarch Money. If you're on Android or Windows, Copilot Money. And if you live across currencies, Spendee is the closest head-to-head.
